Our financial solutions include renewable energy and energy efficiency project finance solutions, knowledge of utility rebate programs, tax incentives, access to venture capital, private equity, tax equity, structured debt, A/R finance, bridge loans and a variety of other structured financial solutions.

Larry Thrall — Managing Director
Larry Thrall is a serial entrepreneur, starting and running various companies over the last 23 years. Larry has experience in banking with the William E. Simon group, helping acquire five banks and Savings and Loans. He then started and ran Premium Source, a marketing company that he grew to $15 million in sales before selling it to a larger competitor. He then started and ran Rimpau Enterprises, a sales and consulting company that developed a strong presence in energy management with clients including the Department of Defense, State of California, Marriott, Chevron Energy Solutions, Schneider Electric, Johnson Controls and many more. Larry holds a Bachelors degree in Business Finance from the University of Southern California.

Clifford Cheng — Project Development
Clifford C. Cheng has over 23 years of experience in project management, real estate development and property and asset management and possesses a diverse skill set and a lengthy list of industry achievements. Before joining the Vireo Energy team, Mr. Cheng was a real estate developer, investor and entrepreneur. Previously he held senior management positions at Grubb & Ellis Company, Washington Mutual Bank and American Savings Bank. While a newcomer to the renewable energy industry, Mr. Cheng relies on his vast real estate and banking experience in the structuring and development of large scale solar projects for commercial applications. He holds a Bachelors Degree in English from the University of California at Berkeley.

David Ferrigno — Business Development
Prior to joining Vireo Energy, David was CFO of Greentorch, a leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of energy-efficient lighting and emergency egress systems. At Greentorch, David documented carbon footprints, designed energy-audit protocols, created energy savings programs and provided cutting-edge LED and photo luminescent lighting systems for projects ranging from the first single-family LEED project in California to the $9B City Center project in Las Vegas — the largest LEED project ever built. David worked closely with many national accounts, including the US Military, US Federal Buildings, the largest universities, hospitals, school districts, hotel and retail chains in the country.  David has a degree from Harvard University and has been in Southern California since 1993.
